Meet Zoe, Foxey & Halston |
|
 |
|
Zoe, Foxey and Halston sitting on their
favorite futon, watching the world go by. Zoe, the black GSD rescue
from the Carrollton shelter is very loyal and always has her eye on
one of us, making sure we are OK. Foxey, the smallest Norwegian
Elkhound mix came from the Irving shelter. When he came into the
house for the first time, he was very confused and hesitated to come
in, but now is the happiest of the three and very loving. Halston
is our "designer dog". He came to our household from the Irving
shelter and was named "Halston" for his designer looks by a rescue
worker. The name stuck, and he is just gentle, loving, and sweet.
Their coats are very soft, and thanks to Dr. Ballard - their teeth
are clean. Ask her for advice on your dog's teeth cleaning also. |

|
There was a "doggie" marathon in Arlington in
2009. All the dogs participated and finished, but were pooped when
done. They earned their bandanas. |
|
|

Zoe is very loyal and always walks alongside
her "daddy" when we go out walking. This was taken at the Plano Dog
Park one early morning -- Heaven for all of them.
Zoe, Foxey,
and Halston are all patients and we have just moved to
Houston, so we MISS Dr. Ballard tremendously.
Our thanks to Tajana Mesic
for sharing
these terrific photos! |

Meet Rhett |
|
 |
 |
|
Rhett is a 17 month-old healthy patient at
Alternative Vet Hospital. He is entered into the Greenies Healthy
Smile contest, and it would be so awesome if Trisha or someone at
the clinic could vote for him. Rhett is a smart boy. For this
contest, he learned (in a few minutes of taking his picture) how to
smile on cue. Now we just ask him to smile and he does.
While he is high energy at the dog park, he is
generally a very laid back dog at the house. As a puppy, he caught
two rabbits and a squirrel, and let them go each time. He loves
other dogs, large and small, loves people and really wants to get to
know cats better. We have 3 he lives with, who are gradually
letting their guard down. We love that in addition to being
naturally a great guard dog, Rhett is 95 lbs of love and sweetness
and is a wonderful family member, even if he does tend to take over
the whole bed.
Our thanks to Suzanne
O'Brien for sharing these great photos! |

"She is your
friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are her life, her love, her
leader. She will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of her heart.
You owe it to her to be worthy of such devotion."
